"Superior Walls are pre-manufactured, fully cured concrete wall panels, pre-insulated and pre-studded with a concrete header and footer," says Fern Doucet, President of Superior Walls by Magnis. "We can put the walls directly onto crushed rock instead of a concrete footing, improving drainage and saving money." Unlike concrete poured on-site, pre-manufactured concrete is not exposed to weather and potentially improper curing, which can lead to cracking, water seepage and mold. "Strands of fiberglass make it harder, and added accelerators in the concrete mix reduce water for a greener build," Doucet says. A&S Homes Vice-President Frank Spezzano has used Superior Walls on home builds. "The water-to-cement ratio enhances the curing process, as well as, making the wall impermeable to water seepage from outside the home," says Spezzano. Concrete studs are insulated with a thermal foam technology. Mold can't form on the insulation. Studs won't rot. Basements are waterproof.
