Learn the important role bees play in our environment and develop the tools and knowledge to maintain a healthy and clean hive. You will build your own hive to take home and have an opportunity to work with live bees in the field. Handling bees is not dangerous - it is an enjoyable activity that can be therapeutic in many ways. Bees not included. ) room 106, arts & technology centre louis riel school division A power engineer is a person trained and certified to safely operate steam, pressure, and refrigeration plants. In Manitoba, as in other Canadian provinces and territories, most plants can only be operated under the supervision of a certified and licensed power engineer. PoWer engineering 5th class — Basic Building oPerations This course focuses on all aspects of heating plant operation. It will be of interest to anyone operating or maintaining a heating plant in a school, apartment building, or similar setting. This is a study class, approved by the Fire Commissioner's Office of Manitoba, and will prepare students to write the provincial exam. 450 practicum hours are earned by achieving a 65% pass in the study class after which time you are eligible to write the provincial exam. Each participant is responsible for arranging their own additional 450 practical boiler hours. Requirements: Basic math skills and working knowledge of spoken and written English are essential to successful completion of this course. Each participant is required to have textbooks by the first session. The text books can be ordered from the Red River College Bookstore, Notre Dame Campus, 204. 632. 2351.
