Secter, whose family has owned Total Lighting on William
Avenue since 1975, says it's not difficult to plug into the hot
trends in lighting, and he's excited to see many homeowners
become more adventurous with the type of lighting they
introduce into their living space.
"We have one customer who installed the most amazing
wall sconce by using a 72-inch long band of metal with LED
lights situated behind it that makes it look more like a work
of art than a light fixture," he says. "While there still needs
to be other sources of light to take care of the functionality
of the room, the metal combined with the lights makes it a
unique conversation piece."
