18 We are the next generation. We represent the future women leaders ready to take our place as the now generation. We stand shoulder to shoulder with other young women across RBC and throughout Canada unlocking our potential and leaving deep footprints in our wake. We are stomping out our own paths while grateful for having benefitted from those women who have come before us. We also willingly accept our responsibility to the women who follow. And so we strive to leave open each door we walk through so that the next generation may also step through behind us. the NOW generation RBC'S NEXT LEADERS ARE POISED FOR THE FUTURE By Donya Shabgard, RBC Associate Account Manager In addition to some of us being born and raised in Canada, we come to Manitoba from all over the world — from countries such as Afghanistan, India, Philippines, Pakistan, and Nigeria — to make a meaningful contribution to our new home by helping our clients thrive and communities prosper. We both champion and reflect RBC's values of diversity and inclusion and we seek to contribute to a culture of belonging through action. While members of my generation have been labeled entitled or even self-absorbed, in fact it is with an authentic care for this country that we choose to give back by donating our time and our skills to a variety of organizations. While we may be considered the most educated generation in history, we crave mentorship, continuous learning, and growth opportunities. We will seek to build a circle of truth tellers around us — those individuals who will provide us with honest and transparent feedback that will enable RBC
