He will be using a holistic approach to education, based on the Medicine Wheel, to teach Indigenous students in Northern Manitoba. l i n d s ay b ri s t ow Anishinaabe alumna from Bloodvein First Nation, Bachelor of Science (Honours) As an inspirational mentor, Lindsay has dedicated herself to empowering Indigenous youth and promoting the pursuit of education. She has made her own dream a reality, and this fall she will be entering the Doctor of Medicine program in U of M's Rady Faculty of Health Sciences. This spring over 450 Indigenous students—the largest cohort ever—were honoured for their achievements at the 29 th Annual Traditional Graduation Pow Wow. The University of Manitoba is home to a dynamic community of more than 2,400 First Nations, Métis and Inuit students and thousands of Indigenous alumni.
