There are plenty of great travel options available to golfers who who don’t wish to journey too far from home, according to the National Golf Course Owners Association.

Some people are staying in Manitoba or going to the next province, some are going a bit further.” That COVID-induced trepidation is understandable, O’Donovan adds. “It’s just where we’re at in the evolution of the last two years – people are at varying levels of comfort,” he says. “The golf industry will continue to cater to people with the realities of COVID in mind as it has for the last two golf seasons.”

One thing is a certainty as golfers get ready to spread their wings in 2022, O’Donovan says. “We’re set up for a great golf season. There’s a high degree of optimism, and golfers can take advantage of great courses, resorts, and campgrounds at home or in a neighbouring province. Or they can go further afield if they feel comfortable to do so. There are lots of options available, whether you want to play one round a week or go on an extended golf getaway.”

There are also good travel options available for people who are still a bit leery of traveling well outside of Manitoba, says Kevin O’Donovan, regional director, prairies, for the National Golf Course Owners Association (NGCOA). “Many great options are there for golfers to take advantage of great golf in both Manitoba and Saskatchewan,” he says. “There’s been plenty of early
