This dry white wine has a straw yellow colour. Its clean, intense aroma and bone-dry taste (with an appealing flavour of Golden Delicious apples) make Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio a wine of great

personality and versatility. MANITOBA LIQUOR MARTS (VARIOUS LOCATIONS)

Northern Italy offers striking contrasts and a temperate climate that shifts quickly from the cool, high Alpine peaks to the milder lowlands and coastal plains. Winters in the mountains are long and snowy, but they give way to fresh, pleasant summers that sustain dense forests and clear glacier-fed lakes. As the land slopes down into the Po Valley, the air grows warmer and more humid, creating ideal conditions for agriculture. This region is home to Italy’s most productive farmland and to celebrated wine areas such as Veneto and Friuli. The scenery is just as varied — rugged mountains, rolling hills lined with vineyards, calm lakes like Como and Garda, and wide, fertile plains shaped by the Po River. These landscapes have strongly influenced local life and traditions. Northern Italy’s culture blends hardworking modern cities with deep-rooted customs, from regional cuisine and artisan crafts to festivals and architecture that reflect a lasting sense of history and identity.
