consumers and professionals. As Vexxit’s offerings continue to grow, so does its reach. The company has expanded its network of professionals from coast to coast, making it a useful tool no matter where in Canada you live or work. It’s also partnered with Chambers of Commerce across the country, including the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce (MCC). “Developing a relationship with the Chambers has been an integral part of our success,” says Rempel. “It’s a two-way street.” Vexxit has learned how to better serve local businesses through its MCC connections. It acts as a resource and offers a participation discount to members. Strategy has certainly played a role in Vexxit’s success, and the COVID-19 funding made available by the federal government helped boost the business — allowing it not only to stay afloat, but to thrive. “We met all the necessary criteria,” Rempel says. “We knew we were in a situation to grow. We also knew our growth would mean
there would be more help available to those who needed it.” In addition to helping the professionals and consumers who make up Vexxit’s target audience, the company created job opportunities within its own team. “A year ago, we had two employees,” says Rempel. “Today, we have 12 full-time employees and we have a number of consultants that we work with, all remotely.” Where does a company that’s clearly on the rise go from here? It continues to do what it’s already doing so well, from expanding its network of professionals to forging partnerships with Chambers across Canada. A major focus now is on adding regular content to the microsites that will lead the next phase of growth. “Eventually, Vexxitbusiness.com and Vexxitlife.com will be the front door to Vexxit,” says Rempel. “The true value of what we do is in the help and advice that we offer. What we ultimately want to have as the result is happier people and happier professionals.” ■
