M anitoba is renowned for our lakes. Many of us swim, wakeboard, canoe or even just sit on a deck to take in the lake and find our bliss. Others, however, love to fish. Fishing can be more than a pastime; for many it’s a passion. Whether it’s the quiet solitude in a beautiful setting or the thrill of trying to get the perfect catch alongside friends or family, this province has so much to offer. More than 100,000 lakes and rivers are ready for eager anglers to explore.
Because there are so many options, we’ve followed Travel Manitoba’s lead and broken the province out by region. Each of the six regions offers unique opportunities. From fly- fishing to flying in to fish, memories are there for the making. The six regions are divided out as follows: North of 53, Western, Central, Parkland, Interlake and Eastern. Each is definitely worth visiting to explore your inner angler.
