PRAIRIE VIEW LAKES
“They are front drive access with the garage located at the rear of the lot,” he says. “They have a long 70- to 90-foot drive. Two-storey models are available: two bungalows and the bi-level that people can select from.” The development, with a private residential road, is constructed on bare-land condo land with subdivided 40- to 42-foot-wide lots. Six lots are remaining. Recently, Country Vista Estates featured 1,200- and 1,300-square- foot side-by-side homes with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and attached garages. “We sold them out very quickly and Ventura is putting in a road
to accommodate adding more of those homes,” Vasko says. Prairie View Lakes is growing as a mixed residential community for young families, professionals, up-sizers, down-sizers and retirees. “We’re installing another phase this year on the westerly edge adjacent to Provincial Road 330. We call it Phase 4C commercial multi-family,” says Tim Comack, vice-president with Ventura Land Company and Ventura Developments. “There are 200-plus units of duplex, bungalow, townhome and apartment housing. That apartment housing will have a mix of general rental apartments as well as senior
age-specific apartments.” The build will also see a 30,000-square-foot grocery store. “The other two sites are for small- to medium-scale strip mall development or a stand-alone user,” Comack says. The other three sites are multi-family specific — expect to see duplex bungalows and townhomes. “This includes two styles of apartments,” he says. “The walk-up style is a general rental building geared towards young professionals or people choosing to live an independent lifestyle. And we’re also going to have a senior age-specific apartment building.”
