So we wanted it to be as efficient as possible, starting with the front of the home.” To that end, a bedroom and three- piece bathroom were placed to the right of the foyer to provide an area in which in-laws could take up residence.

Or, rather, it’s practical with some- thing of an exotic twist. “We wanted to create a feeling of serenity that radiated from the home both inside and out with warm natural woods,” Miller explains. “So, for the exterior, we combined a steel siding with a woodgrain look with an earthy stucco and dark-trimmed windows.
