SHOW & TELL

19 OASIS BEND ❖ HEARTH HOMES

"There’s also a walk-in pantry hidden behind the cabinetry to the left of the range."

– RYAN MILLER, HEARTH HOMES

Then there’s the kitchen itself. Immediately, your eye is drawn by the island and adjacent countertops. “We wanted to make a state- ment, and I think we did with a gorgeous white/grey black quartz — the island also has a waterfall side for good measure,” Miller says. “However, we chose not to match the backsplash

to it. Instead, we went with a beige hexagonal backsplash with taupe cabinets above to achieve a nice balance.” At the same time, rift-oak style cabinetry and a taupe cabinet over the lit coffee bar create a natural unforced warmth, along with natural brown wide plank flooring. “There’s also a walk-in pantry hidden behind the cabinetry to

the left of the range,” Miller says. “It’s a cool yet functional feature that everyone loves.” Natural light cascades in from a pair of huge windows behind the dining area — the windows also frame the lake view to perfection — while a patio door on the side wall provides access to a large elevated composite deck that looks out over the water.
