Panel-ready refrigerators, dishwashers and drawer-style appliances are leading the way.
“Some high-end manufacturers are committing to keeping parts avail- able for 15 to 20 years,” Politylo notes. “It’s part of a larger movement to make appliances more repairable and less disposable.” From panel-ready products to outdoor kitchens outfitted with built-in grills, side burners and icemakers, the trend across all appli- ance categories is personalization. “We’re seeing people look beyond the basics,” Politylo says. “They want appliances that reflect how they live — whether that’s entertaining often, cooking for their family or prioritizing a clutter-free esthetic.”
The adoption of combination-steam ovens is another reflection of this trend. These appliances bring professional-level functionality into the home, allowing for healthier and more precise cooking. Sous- vide cooking, traditionally done by sealing food in vacuum-sealed bags and immersing in a controlled water bath, can now be done with even greater precision in a combi- steam oven. With ongoing innovation, home appliances continue to evolve. “Appliances are no longer just about utility,” Politylo says. “They’re a key part of how people live and express themselves at home.”
