“Slatwall is attached to the wall and there are all kinds of baskets and things that can connect on the slats,” Boisselle says. “A conceal shelf by Umbra would also work for books or you could put flower pots on them.” The theme should also extend to colour and containers. “To make things look nice, you need some consistency in your containers,” she says. “For colour, you could decide to do all pas- tels or to do all brights, and that would work really well for craft and other supplies.” For entertaining, multi-use furniture pieces do double duty. “There are coffee tables that lift up so if you are sitting at a sofa, you can adjust it so you can sit and eat at the right height,” she says. Sounds like the perfect place to rest a glass of wine.

“I think the biggest thing is to use your walls and go up,” she says. “For storage, you have to use your height as much as possible because there isn’t much circumference.” Things like pegboards, hooks or even slatwall will work well.
