while, but now it’s moving forward. There’s quite a pent-up demand for this build, especially for the luxury kind of feel that we’re offering.” He says all 10 condominium units are fully into construction. Randall Homes is targeting late 2024 for possession for this first phase. A waiting list is started, and interested buyers can reach out for details on the website at randallhomes.net. Information packages will be sent out when pricing details have been finalized. These highly desirable condominiums will shine with architectural features selected by Randall Homes’ design professionals. Jaquet describes the front elevation as being more linear and flat. Each front entrance has a black metal roof over the door and all windows are crisply framed in black. “It’s a very modern New York sensibility that gives you that ‘brownstone’ sort of feel — but with a Canadian twist,” he says. “The kitchen is in the middle of the house, the great room is in the front area and the eating area is in the back.” Because the condominiums are connected and fitting onto smaller professionally landscaped lots, they are somewhat narrower than a typical home. “We decided to put nine-foot ceilings on the main floor to allow the space for bigger windows and bring in more natural light,” he says. each new home while keeping an overall cohesive esthetic. For Randall Homes, finding that creative balance for the luxury-type condominiums they are building in RidgeWood West means designs that stand out — not stick out — and are a highlight in the neighbourhood. “When you drive into RidgeWood West, our condominiums are going to be the first thing you’re going to see, so we wanted to make sure that we put our best foot forward,” says Jason Jaquet, vice-president at Randall Homes. “When Randall Homes is doing these projects, we always want fresh new design projects. We never want to be repeating ourselves.” RidgeWood West is a development by Qualico Communities that’s located in the southwest area of Charleswood, just off Wilkes Avenue and a short hop to the Perimeter Highway. Easy access to Wilkes means a quick drive to the shopping and amenities that have been popping up just east down the road, as well as a short trip FortWhyte Alive. “RidgeWood West fits the wants and needs of Charleswood residents who might still want to live in the area and upgrade to a new home, as well as those looking to move into the area,” Jaquet says. “This project was in development prior to the pandemic and, like so many things, was suspended for a

maintaining a pleasing overall look to the building. “At Randall Homes, we do put a lot of emphasis on the exterior of our homes because we want you to feel proud of your unique home,” he says. “We don’t want to build homes that look exactly the same so that the only way you know your house is by the number.” Homebuyers have a choice between three floor plans. All the units, which face Couture Crescent, are two storeys with three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. Square footage ranges from 1,350 to 1,536. They come with laminate flooring and quartz countertops in the kitchen. Air conditioner and appliances are included. Each one has a double detached garage. Jaquet says interior colours have been pre-approved to offer options for a colour theme for the inside of each home to meet the tastes of buyers. And pre-approval allows the project to move forward efficiently.
