“There are more manufacturers and now because of the flexibility of what you can do with an LED board, they’re creating some very sculptural looking fixtures,” says Alison Demare, branch manager at Robinson Lighting Centre.

BECAUSE OF THE FLEXIBILITY OF WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH AN LED BOARD, THEY’RE CREATING SOME VERY SCULPTURAL LOOKING FIXTURES.

“And from an installation standpoint, there’s way more flexibility as to where they can be used … you can certainly still have your integrated LED pots, you can still have a decorative fixture in the middle (of the room), and you can still have your decorative lamps, so you can create a variety of different moods or functions within a space.” On the downside, once the light source wears out, the entire fixture needs to be replaced, but integrated LED technology isn’t going away anytime soon.
