SUGAR & SPICE — Cont’d from page 117
The Foxridge Homes kitchen on Munnion Road in RidgeWood West checks all the boxes and then some. A charcoal maple island is anchored by an imposing charcoal cabinet feature that frames a black-and-white insert to house a cooktop and counterspace. At the pantry end of the kitchen, a second feature wall contains floating shelves in a walnut alcove, surrounded by white cabinetry. The alcove is flanked by a white high-end fridge and wall oven / microwave duo — a surprise element that bucks the trend toward black stainless appliances. “This is taking white to a whole other level and adding that drama and contrast, which makes it so interesting — and I would venture to say jaw- dropping,” says Foxridge marketing manager Colleen Chaput.
