Sage Creek Boulevard in Sage Creek as a prime example of how value can be delivered through creativity. “With our show home (the Cedar Court at 736 Sage Creek Blvd.), you get a home that’s 1,731 square feet on a smaller, low-maintenance lot and your own private courtyard,” he says. “The show home is $419,900, but with basic finishes and without some options, you can get the home for about $350,000 with an attached garage and about 2,200 square feet of very livable space spread out over three levels.” Comack says the trend of delivering affordable homes with high livability quotients is now the rule, rather than the exception. “Builders will continue to design homes on narrower lots that will still deliver the square footage and features buyers expect in order to be comfortable in their homes,” he says. “Creativity is the key to creating affordable, functional homes, and I believe builders are up to the task of delivering quality and value, just on a smaller scale.”

Jaquet says the objective is to pack in as much value as possible. “Not only do we want to be able to provide buyers with the most afford- able lot and home possible, but we’re also going to put more standard fea- tures in those homes. So while the lots might not be as large, the homes — whether they be side-by-side or semi-detached — will deliver excel- lent value in terms of their livability and the design features they offer.
