“River Park South is a nice area. Our daughter is going to the same school, which is great,” Rick says. “I play hockey at two rinks, Dakota and St. Vital. I also play at Ile-des-Chênes, and they’re all within five minutes to 15 min- utes from my house.” Ryan Alby, marketing manager for Kens- ington Homes, notes that River Park South is in the late stages of develop- ment, so the neighbourhood is already well established. “You’re going into a community with new housing development, but with all of your desired amenities in place. You have the convenience of a quick bus ride to the U of M or St. Vital Mall or a great restaurant within a few minute’s drive,” Alby says. “But you’re not going to have to worry about construction for the next five to 10 years because River Park South will be wrapped long before then.” New neighbourhoods like River Park South are built differently than older ar- eas, he adds.
