Comack says the flexible design is perfect for multi-generational families because it allows a main-floor den to be converted into a bedroom for elderly parents while the upstairs loft can be reconfigured into an ad- ditional bedroom for a child. The additional main-floor bedroom is located near both a washroom and the laundry room area. One example of this design is the compa- ny’s show home at 11 Wainwright Cres. in River Park South, which is an entry in the Spring Parade of Homes.

Comack says another plus with the multi-generational design is that it can be easily adapted to meet a family’s changing needs — such as the birth of another child or a change in the health of the owners — without requir- ing extensive renovations. “With this style of house this can be your forever house,” he says. Anders Frederiksen, a sales agent for Ventura, says the multi-generational design has been extremely popular with customers, and a substantial number of them have already been sold in River Park South and elsewhere. “The feedback has been exceptional.
