I think southwest Winnipeg has always been very popular due to that,” Carruthers says, adding the community is also close to the University of Manitoba while a new dual-track kindergar- ten - Grade 8 school is planned. Another plus is that home buyers and builders are encouraged to be creative instead of being forced to adhere to stringent design guide- lines.
