They can be as basic as swapping out your old doorbell for a new one with a high- definition camera. They’re motion sensitive, you can view the camera at any time, record, and even have two- way radio capability.”
Estabrook says it’s important to get the installation right the first time, no matter whether it’s a basic doorbell, one-camera system or high-end multi-camera system. “There are so many options — technology is evolving very fast; there’s something in every price range. Some security cameras can be retrofitted for under $300 and you can record locally with a micro SD card or a traditional camera with an internal hard drive. Just get a reputable company to do the system properly.
