Stub wall: A half wall that does not extend all the way from floor to ceiling. It can be used to create a partition between two rooms or a room and a stairway. It is not a load-bearing wall. Tandem garage: A two-car garage in which cars can be parked end to end. May be modified to accommodate one additional car on the side. Transom: A window usually found above a doorway. Flat lot: The basement level is below ground. Daylight or lookout lot: The yard is sloped from side to side or from front to back to allow for full-size windows on at least one lower-level wall.
