Dream Catchers Turning wishes into reality one home at time

>> Janet and Doug Milne set out to build one home for one fam- ily — their own. Now they’re passionately committed to building homes for other families.
“We built our house 22 years ago. And we sat down after the whole process was over and done with and we said, ‘You know, that was a lot of fun,’ ” Janet says. “I really enjoyed the administration, working with the trades, the builders, the contractors, the invoices, that kind of thing. And Doug really enjoyed the vi- sionary and the ideas and trying to get the compo- nents all put together. “So we sat down at the dinner table one day and said, ‘Why don’t we do this again?’ ”
‘I always call myself 'Inspector 12.' Doug will put a design together for a show home, and I’ll walk through it as if it was my house and I have to live in it.’
But there was a hitch, and a second one coming along soon.
