Hidden Gem Seine River condos on city’s outskirts offer serenity, carefree environment

By Lindsey Ward

>> With a trio of stunning developments to choose from in southeast Winnipeg, more condo buyers are making the Seine choice these days. The Legend at Creek Bend, The Oxbow on the Seine and Royalwood Estates boast contem- porary designs, a carefree lifestyle and a prime location along the Seine River Greenway. With a riverbank trail nestled into an urban for- est, the area is a hidden gem. “Our site is going to be connected to that trail,” says Pre-Con Builders Project Manager Robin Lee, whose company is behind The Oxbow on the Seine. The second phase of development is 90 per cent sold and the company has launched sales for Phase 3 in time for the 2013 Spring Parade of Homes, with a show suite at 110 Creek Bend Rd.

Mr. Lee says the new condos, which will be available for occupancy in summer 2014, will boast designs that draw from the most popular features of their first two phases. When construction is complete, Oxbow condos at St. Anne’s and Creek Bend Road will number about 275. Concrete construction enhances priva- cy, since you can’t hear everything your neighbours are doing. And built-in up- grades are included in the purchase price, which starts at $219,900. They include granite or Caesar stone countertops, stain- less steel appliances, Kohler plumbing fixtures and tile kitchen backsplashes in every unit, whether it’s a cozy 796 square foot, one-bedroom or a 1,432 square foot, two-bedroom unit with a corner balcony overlooking the walkway.

‘I like the whole atmosphere, the camaraderie that we have here’
