SIGNATURE HOMES

QUALITY AND CREATIVITY REFLECT SIGNATURE STYLE

The staircase’s tinted glass and black metal posts create a dramatic effect, and the master bedroom’s platform bed is finished in beautiful maple veneer with LED lighting for a modern, low-profile look, while the en suite is built for comfort, with 72-inch counters plus a makeup area. On Landover Drive and Rowntree Avenue, Signature Homes is putting its innovative spin on two-storey side-by- side homes that deliver style and value, too. The Landover model offers 1,500 square feet of living space with vinyl plank flooring, a rear deck and extra-large bedrooms — all at an attractive price. “It’s about keeping it affordable. Somebody start- ing out can have that affordable house but at the same time get a higher-end feeling product that they’re proud of,” Mawhinney says. The two-storey show home on Skyline Drive is another original, delivering plenty of living space on an economical 40-foot lot, with a crowd-pleasing entertainment centre, nine-foot ceilings, a powder room with a custom-designed floating vanity and an expansive kitchen with twin fridge and freezer units for ample food storage. “It’s the kind of house that’s designed to take extra bodies,” Mawhinney says. “What we’re trying to do is give the homeowner an opportunity to buy a less expensive lot, but still have an 1,800-square-foot, four-bedroom house with lots of space.” Learn more about Signature Homes at signaturehomes.ca

Signature Homes isn’t afraid to colour outside the lines. Maintaining a tradition of quality since 1969, the Winnipeg-based company has also earned a reputation for creativity, building uniquely contemporary homes with affordable style. “We’re always on the search for what’s new and what’s the latest and what’s improved,” says general manager Gerry Mawhinney. “It’s all about pushing the envelope to find the newest product or getting on board with some of the latest trends and delivering a nice product at a good price.” That product is on display during the Fall Parade of Homes at four new show homes, at 292 Cherrywood Road, 24 Landover Drive and 62 Rowntree Avenue in Bridgwater Trails, and at 39 Skyline Drive in Prairie Pointe. The two-storey home on Cherrywood boasts a one-of- a-kind entertainment area that does double-duty on the main floor. Along with a 100-inch fireplace, it features a cabinet with sliding doors that open to reveal a giant TV screen up top and two smaller screens below, all surrounded by a stylized wainscotted wall. Located near the kitchen, it’s where everybody will want to be, whether it’s entertaining family and friends, chilling out on movie night or having the gang over to watch the big game. “We were looking for a concept that was Saturday-night chic and Sunday-afternoon sports centre all in one,” Mawhinney says.
