Community spirit is alive and well in SAGE CREEK Sage Creek is an energetic, grow- ing community that offers a range of options for homeowners — whether you’re in the market for a single- family premium or custom home or are looking for upscale rental living within walking distance to all of the community’s amenities.
Fabio Haiko-Pena is Co-Owner of Rockwood Urban Grill, a popular venue for residents of Sage Creek and a draw for the surrounding area. He is also a Sage Creek homeowner and says, “It’s like a small town. It’s secluded but we have everything we need and we always feel safe here.” Becky Hryniuk, a newer resident, is already actively immersed in the community through her in- volvement with Run Sage Creek, an annual event to be held for the first time in October 2018. “I love to run and spend time on the trails of Sage Creek. I wanted to share that experience with oth- er residents as well as share the neighbourhood I love with friends and family in the running commu- nity.” The run is designed for all ages and funds raised will go to- ward the Parent Advisory Council of École Sage Creek School. Like many residents, Hryniuk was drawn to Sage Creek because of its distinctive look and natural appeal. “The open spaces with the lime- stone trails and prairie grasses are places where I love to spend time with my family.” Many homebuyers are first drawn to Sage Creek because of the look and design of the neighbourhood and homes, but they stay because they discover a strong, inviting community that they want to be- come a part of.
location and bring in new and excit- ing housing options including town- homes with single-car garages, rear lane access and even some homes with walkout lower levels backing onto the wetlands,” says Eric Vo- gan, Qualico Communities. The new phase also includes a selection of compact single-family lots. Coming soon to the Village Centre is a new upscale apartment complex by Deveraux that will feature nearly 400 units across six buildings. The complex will offer micro suites as well as 1 and 2-bedroom units with a variety of layouts and luxury fea- tures. Tenants can also enjoy under- ground parking in some of the build- ings and the centralized clubhouse that will offer a comfortable place to host friends. The nearby Sage Creek 55+ Apart- ments, developed by Homestead Manitoba, is a 55+ rental complex with 102 units. “The first occupan- cies will take place this fall, satisfying another housing need in the com- munity,” says Reid. Both of these projects are examples of how Sage Creek continuously strives to accom- modate buyers and residents at all stages of life. “Having a strong community where residents can walk to many of the conveniences, as well as enjoy the outdoor spaces together is part of Qualico Communities’ plan for Sage Creek,” adds Vogan. “This is really how lasting connections within com- munities are created.”

“Residents of Sage Creek enjoy the fact that everything they need is right here,” says Tara Reid, Qualico Communities. Most day- to-day essentials can be found within the community whether it be groceries, gas, banking, fitness, a physio appointment, dental or eye exams, pet care ser- vices, or even great places to get together with friends — indoors and out.
Alongside all of these choices come the distinct characteristics of a well-planned Qualico Communi- ties neighbourhood. “The grow- ing Village Centre, new Kindergar- ten to Grade 8 community school, naturalized wetlands and over nine kilometres of trails, Sage Creek is a complete community that is teeming with energy and life,” says Reid. Reid says the diversity of home styles in Sage Creek is also appeal- ing to buyers, as is the selection of quality builders. Due to its proximity to the Village Centre, the new Phase 8 has been planned differently from previ- ous phases in the community. “We wanted to take advantage of the
