Snow says having more space and less-stringent architectural guidelines gives home buyers more flexibility to stretch out. “People are free to build sprawling bungalows with triple garages — something you don’t see much in the city,” she says. “We get a lot of requests to build that type of home because it’s hard to do in the city with smaller lots and stricter architectural guidelines.” The inherent beauty of rural communities is also resonating with home buyers. “People are just naturally drawn to the country’s wide-open spaces,” Comack says. “We’re adding to that ambience in Prairie View Lakes with 25 acres of park space with trails designed to seamlessly connect the community. As beautiful as the area is now, just wait. It’s going to be absolutely stunning in five to 10 years.”
