In January, homebuilders across Manitoba joined a national initiative that includes efforts to harmonize home efficiency expectations. The 2020 national model codes kick off a tiered process that aims to reach the goal of net-zero emission homes by 2050.
Check out a Certified Energy Efficient show home at 10 Siddiqui Ridge in Bison Run, built by Hearth Homes. This home achieved an air tightness result of 0.66 ACH and is 26.7 per cent more energy efficient than comparable new homes.
