>> You can get a lot done in 100 years. Ladco Company Ltd. is closing in on a century since it was founded as Henry Borger & Son in 1919. From the Winnipeg General Strike to the 150th anniversary of Confederation, the company has seen a lot of history — and it’s played a significant historical role in shaping Winnipeg’s urban landscape. Brothers Alan Borger, who is company presi dent, and David Borger, vice-president of de velopment, represent the fourth generation in the family business. David Borger says their great-grandfather and grandfather — both named Henry — started out in sewer-and-water and road construction.
