So many big Indigenous female singers started out in the talent show circuit,” Robinson-Desjarlais said. “This event is for singers who maybe perform for their families and communities in talent shows but might not have made it to the next level. There’s so much amazing talent untapped in these communities, and this is a way for them to get noticed in the industry.” The Top 5 aspiring singers will receive cash prizes, along with a free one-year membership to Manitoba Music and a music career consultation.
