Le Musée de Saint-Boniface
Le Musée de Saint-boniface – A Riel Log STructure
>>(PHS) — Housed in the oldest building in Winnipeg, a former convent built for the Grey Nuns that's also the
largest log structure in North America, the museum dates back to 1844 and features artifacts celebrating the lives
and culture of Manitoba's Francophone and Métis communities. A prime example of Red River frame construction,
the site is within walking distance of The Forks and Saint-Boniface Cathedral, and pays tribute to the likes of
Taché, Lagimodiere, and Louis Riel. www.msbm.mb.ca.
