Thousands of artworks, thousands of stories to share. This major survey of the influential Manitoba modernist and Group of Seven member is the first in 40 years. Through contemporary and historic art and archival documents, this exhibition acknowledges the role the Métis played in the foundation of the Province of Manitoba. The first Winnipeg Indigenous Triennial will be tri-national, looking at North America, New Zealand, and Australia with a focus on issues of water, sustainability, climate change, and the environment. The inaugural exhibition of the WAG Inuit Art Centre will be an unprecedented celebration featuring some of the most innovative and forward-thinking Inuit art being produced today.
