The resource has been created in conjunction with WE Day and in partnership with Canad Inns. Lea Ledohowski, President of Canad Inns, is excited about the partnership. "Canad Inns is about community. Through our Canad Inns Foundation, it is our mission to support initiatives that improve the quality of life in the communities we serve," she said. "Manitoba's 150th anniversary is a celebration of special significance to our company that is Manitoba owned, Manitoba grown and Manitoba proud. We are thrilled to partner with two amazing organizations — Manitoba 150 and WE Charity — on a new edu- cational resource called Learn 150." These teaching tools will encourage discussions in both official languages about Manitoba's past, present and future for students of all ages across the province. "Designed for Manitoba students in kindergarten to Grade 12, Learn 150 teaches about our shared history and encourages dialogue about diversity, reconciliation and healthy living," Ledohowski said. "Today's youth are tomorrow's lead- ers, and education is empowerment. We are so excited to be able to play a role in providing knowledge and skills that will help shape a better future for our province." The learning resource will also address the importance of making healthy choices and leading a healthy lifestyle. The goal is to ensure that strong community ethics and good citizenship remain key components in Manitoba for future generations. Both Stuart Murray and Monique LaCoste, Co-Chairs of the Manitoba 150 Host Committee, are inspired by the Learn 150 launch. "While Manitoba is celebrating its 150th anniversary in 2020, its land, people, beauty and culture go back much further," Murray said. "We are delighted to celebrate Manitoba's an- niversary, and Learn 150 reminds us of our rich past, our diverse community and the potential our future holds. By supporting the next generation, we are helping to ensure our next celebration will be even more momentous."
