THERE'S PLENTY OF LIGHT,
TOO, THANKS TO AN
ABUNDANCE OF WINDOWS
ON BOTH FLOORS — SOME
IN UNUSUAL PLACES.
Daytona Homes sales and marketing manager Alana Yaren
says panelled interior doors are standard selections, but
the paint colour — which repeats on the primary bedroom
ceiling — was an ideal choice for this particular show home.
It just pops, and like the bedroom cubbies, it's the kind of
extra detail Daytona likes to include in all its homes.
"You get something unique," Yaren says. "We really try to
think through the function in all our homes."
That mindset extends to a second-floor nook that could
function as a semi-secluded homework space or office. A
pony wall at the top of the stairs gives it an air of privacy
and one of its windows opens to provide actual air.
There's plenty of light, too, thanks to an abundance of
windows on both floors — some in unusual places. Small
windows flanking the electric fireplace in the great room
add interest as well as light to the room.
Summerlea's distinctive farmhouse character dictated many
choices for the exterior design and materials, and the
Nordic farmhouse look inspired Daytona decor coordinator
Grace Scanlon's choices for the interior, which is a take on
one of the company's most popular floorplans, the Quest II
model.
