CORDLESS ELECTRIC AND BATTERY PACK-POWERED EQUIPMENT IS BECOMING
THE NORM, WITH MANY BRANDS OFFERING COMBO KITS MADE UP OF MOWERS,
BLOWERS AND WEED TRIMMERS THAT USE A SINGLE BATTERY PACK.
Tools are seldom at the top of housewarming
gift lists, but they're among the most useful
items, and some hand tools will literally last a
lifetime.
Depending on who you ask, a wish-list of tools
for new homeowners might contain anything
from a Black & Decker pet hair remover or
cordless drill all the way up to major emergency
equipment.
Richard Sweeney, Home Hardware merchandise
manager for Canada, says a backup generator
is a must for people who live in areas where
power outages are a threat during stormy
weather.
In the non-emergency category, new
homeowners need everything from rakes and
lawnmowers to shovels and snowblowers. One
thing they probably don't need? A gas can.
Cordless electric and battery pack-powered
equipment is becoming the norm, with many
brands offering combo kits made up of
mowers, blowers and weed trimmers that use a
single battery pack.
