"Homes may be a bit smaller due to the walk-out designs, which will allow for the interiors to be dressed
up," he says.
"Plus, you have the added advantage of having such
a livable lower level. People will be
able to enjoy luxury and great views
on every level."
Mark Penner adds
that the developer
wants to accommodate
homeowners' individual
tastes.
"Not every home
will look the same
–
Countryside
Crossing is not going to be a cookiecutter community,"
he says.
Irwin Homes' Andrew Koop says his company's show home will highlight creative design options during the Fall Parade
of Homes.
"We've gone with something different: A pergola at
the front of the home with posts and beams combined with cultured stone. Landscaping will be tied
into the design with fir timbers," Koop says.
"There will be no same-old, same-old here. Inside,
there will be lots of tile, highlighted by an ensuite
with a tile floor that looks like hardwood, and a cool
floor-to-ceiling vanity."
Snow says prospective home buyers can also expect
unique flourishes from Warkentin Homes.
"Imagine living on a walk-out lot next to a creek with
big windows for views and a warm, inviting interior
with finishes such as walnut cabinets," she says.
Wayne Penner says Countryside Crossing will be a
purchaser-driven rather than a builder-driven development.
"About 70% of the lots will be made available to the
public, 30% to builders," he says.
"People can choose from one of four preferred builders – Irwin Homes, Maric Homes, K. Streu Homes or
Warkentin Homes. Or they can buy a lot and build
with whomever they want."
Prices range from $159,900 for standard lots up to
$198,900 for larger lots. The first residents were expected to move in by late summer or early fall.
