>> Every dog has his day, but not every dog has his own room — at least not yet. Planning for pets is becoming more prevalent as home- owners customize their abodes to suit their lifestyles. And while a built-in dog shower may seem like a luxury, it's a convenience one Headingley family will appreciate for years to come. Southwynn Homes sales manager Jeff Brown, a Sutton Group realtor, says the company's Gold Award-winning Fall Parade of Homes show home in Deer Pointe Park was cus- tom-built for a family of three humans and two dogs. The design process took longer than average, since the homeowners started from scratch rather than alter an existing floor plan, but it incorporated unique fea- tures that are both pet-friendly and practical. 'One of my favourite features of the home was the type of flooring they used.
