Simpson and Qually were espe- cially pleased with that flexibil- ity. "We found a layout that we liked but the exterior wasn't exactly right, but they (gave) us exactly what we wanted," Simpson says. The couple also wanted four bedrooms on the second floor, and they were able to add square footage and move some of the walls and doors, as well as create a main-floor playroom. "We were able to modify the design and build a room on the main floor with french doors that open to the kitchen so that while we're in the kitchen we can watch the kids," he says. "One of the really nice things was the ongoing involvement that we had," he adds.
