64 La Rivière ARCHIBALD HISTORICAL MUSEUM The Archibald Historical Museum includes a furnished log house (1878) where Nellie McClung boarded as a teacher. A large frame house owned by Nellie McClung is furnished with pieces from the early 1900s. Her first two books were written and her first child born here. The former La Rivière CPR Station, with its distinctive mansard roof design, is the only existing example in Manitoba. A three-storey barn has an old country store, household effects, tools, buggies. Open daily mid-May to Labour Day weekend, noon – 8 p.m. Closed Wednesday and Thursday, except by appointment. Miami MIAMI RAILWAY STATION MUSEUM Miami Railway Station Museum, built in 1889, is a national historic site depicting the life and times of the rural station agent.
