The awards recognize organizations that demonstrate excellence in offering consumers the most energy- efficient products and technology available on the market. They are presented to manufacturers, retailers, utility providers, advocates and home builders that have shown leadership in manufacturing and promoting energy-efficient products. all Weather Windows Ltd. was named Manufacturer of the year - Fenestration. as Canada's largest privately-owned window and door manufacturer, the company increased sales of eNeRgy STaR- certified products by 7% and increased the number of eNeRgy STaR Most efficient products it offers by 11%. its communication strategy presents the eNeRgy STaR symbol in all forms of marketing material, from product brochures to social media messages, reaching more than one million Canadians in 2014. all Weather Windows was also named the eNeRgy STaR Manufacturer of the year – Fenestration in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Manitoba Hydro earned a 2015 award for Promotional Campaign of the year. in 2014, Hydro partnered with energy-efficiency company Summerhill and five large retailers to implement the Power Smart Residential LeD Lighting Program. The intent was to encourage consumers to buy eNeRgy STaR-certified LeD bulbs and to educate customers about the benefits of LeD lighting. With a 50% instant rebate, almost 200,000 eNeRgy STaR-certified LeD bulbs were purchased during the one-month promotion. The campaign's tag line – 25 Light years in every Bulb – was used in promotional materials from print ads placed in newspapers to billboards to social media. Five streams of online ads generated 1.5 million impressions and Manitoba Hydro's website saw a 2,700% increase in the number of visits to its lighting pages. it distributed 5,000 lighting tip sheets and 200,000 bill inserts, and its retail partners promoted the campaign in their own marketing materials. Manitoba Hydro also received an eNeRgy STaR award for Promotional Campaign of the year in 2005. it was named Utility of the year – Provincial in 2006, and Participant of the year in 2010.
