PAGE 8 • FEBRUARY 2016 While it's always great to dedicate a day to remember the importance of love, romance, and relationships, it's also important to celebrate the holiday that recognizes Manitoba's Métis history in Canada. Louis Riel Day is Monday, February 15th, so let's join our Métis friends and family to celebrate their day in whatever way that we can. If you don't have plans to join the festivities that are happening province-wide and are staying indoors, why not throw on your most comfortable onesie or PJs to enjoy a Hard Rock Medical Marathon? Many of us welcome the satisfaction that only a binge-watching TV session can bring during a day off. In seasons one and two, nothing seems dull when studying at Hard Rock Medical where the unusual is always around – the curriculum, northern climate and landscape. This medical drama series is set in a northern Ontario town populated with quirky, off-the-wall characters, where unorthodox emergencies, injuries and other dilemmas emerge. Follow this motley crew of students who will need more than textbooks to navigate their way through four years at the most unconventional medical school. Hard Rock Medical, Seasons 1 and 2 broadcasts February 15 at 6:00 a.m. (MT) on APTN West. At the end of February is the APTN premiere of a gripping drama series inspired by the rocky relationship between a law enforcement official and a member of an American Indigenous community in The Red Road. Uncover the unpredictable on The Red Road, when an officer struggling to police two clashing communities – that of his childhood and of a nearby American Indigenous community – is forced to form a dangerous alliance when his wife is involved in a scandal. New Zealand actor Martin Henderson and American rising star Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones, Conan the Barbarian) are the good and bad in this engaging drama series. The Red Road, Seasons 1 and 2 premiere February 28 at 9:00 p.m. (MT) on APTN West and a new episode broadcasts every Sunday at 9:00 p.m. MT on APTN West. For more of what's on APTN in February, you can always check your local TV listings or check online aptn.ca/ schedule! wHAt'S ANOtHER OutStANdING dAy tO CElEbRAtE IN FEbRuARy?
