In addition to the potentially tragic human cost to our workers, there are direct and indirect costs to our industry that are estimated to exceed $90 million annually. In 2015 the Trucking Industry formally introduced the safety program's official name: RPM Trucking Industry Safety. While the word "RPM" has direct connections to trucking, its connection to the Manitoba trucking safety program is that is also an acronym for "Risk. Professionally Managed." The new safety program will promote sound safety and health practices, and provide leadership in advancing a culture of safety in the trucking industry. It will develop and deliver safety and health training, programs and services for trucking companies. The Manitoba Trucking Association exists to develop and maintain a safe and healthy business environment for its industry members and has been doing so since 1932. We are, first and foremost, an advocacy group working on behalf of the trucking industry. The Manitoba Trucking Association is the voice of the trucking industry in Manitoba.
