You will learn the concept of a spreadsheet and how to organize, analyze and present data such as budgets or sales reports. Learn to customize spreadsheets to suit your needs. 6 Mondays, sept 18 - oct 30 no class oct 9 5:30 - 7:30 pm $129 room 72, grant Park Medical terMinology neW course B 3 instructor: Penny Paul The Medical Terminology course will provide a general working knowledge and ability to use medical words. The course will include understanding how the terms are formed including prefixes and suffixes to form the medical words. Most importantly the medical terms will show the student how the terms apply to 13 body systems and their major organs. Gain knowledge and understanding of the common medical conditions and the tests equating them with patient care and charting. Emphasis will be placed on correct spelling, pronunciation and vocabulary used in medical specialties and general practice. Textbook included. 9 thursdays starting sept 21 - nov 16 6 - 9:30 pm $239 ($165 course fee plus $66 for textbook) room 103, arts & technology centre louis riel school division Business accounting level i course B 4 instructor: Bill vandurme Business Accounting Level One will provide students with the fundamentals and practical applications of basic accounting. Students will learn accounting procedures and practices necessary in any small business. This course will cover the accounting cycle consisting of: accounting terminology, originating source documents, journalizing, PST and GST, posting, preparing a trial balance, income statement, a classified balance sheet and closing entries. No previous accounting experience required. Excel will be used as a tool to assist in reinforcing accounting concepts learned. A textbook and workbook are required. The same textbook is used for Business Accounting Level Two.
