NOW IT'S A COMPLETE 180, FROM
POTENTIALLY DROPPING THE INTEREST IN
HOME FITNESS IN MY (BUSINESS) TO GOING
BACK EVEN BIGGER THAN I WAS BEFORE.
"Now it's a complete 180, from potentially
dropping the interest in home fitness in my
(business) to going back even bigger than I was
before," Carson says.
"The challenge now for a business like ours is
to be able to be competitive, but I am sensing
— and this might be another spinoff from the
pandemic — there is a little bit of a support-
local feeling that we're all getting."
Demand for many products also increased at Fitness Experience.
There have even been times when dumbbells and weight plates
were out of stock, sales manager Louis Fisette says.
But while the rise in residential sales was welcome, he notes that
there was a negative flipside.
"We're seeing an influx of sales as far as the retail side of things for
a home gym, but what people don't really realize is how much our
commercial department has suffered," Fisette notes.
