She's compelled to share her experience for the empowerment ofthepeople. DEREK MILLER THE GUILT FREE ZONE HOST Derek Miller is from the Six Nations of the Grand River in Ontario. He's a singer-songwriter, and his aesthetics of roots inflected rock and roll will definitely add sparks to the show. Derek's talent has led him to award-winning status in the world of music. He's earned JUNO Awards for both his debut album Music Is the Medicine in 2003 and sophomore album The Dirty Looks in 2008. His latest album Damned If You Do features a duet with Willie Nelson. Derek's recent influence comes from a unique mix of soul, blues and country. "Hillbilly Soul with some Mohawk swagger." His eclectic taste and dynamism is a welcomed addition to The Guilt Free Zone - new to the Winnipeg stage this year. CHANTELLE WEBSTAGE PASS™ GUIDE Chantelle is Métis and a self-proclaimed country girl from a small town in south western Manitoba. She's quickly made herself one of the famous faces of APTN, representing the changing wave of Aboriginal youth of Canada. Shortly after college graduation, she found herself working behind the scenes at APTN for the history-making 2010 Vancouver Olympics broadcast as the assistant to the executive producer. In 2011, she was the LIVE Webstage Pass™ host for APTN's Aboriginal Day Live with her former co-host Kernel the Dog. Chantelle loves spending her free time on the Internet and social media sites.
