CAPITAL ABORIGINAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE ASSINIBOIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE FRANCOPHONE DE SAINT-BONIFACE HEADINGLEY REGIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE LA SALLE & AREACHAMBER OF COMMERCE SELKIRK & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Coelement has produced videos for clients such as XtremeMac (top), Minneapolis Community Technical College and Hello Wallet. The Coelement team: From left, Marlon Wiebe, Amanda Chau, Simon Burgess, Adam Duguay, Bradford Gyselman, Chris Gaudry. Global TV, and Duguay oversaw motion branding and design for Global's specialty channels, following a stint as a broadcast designer for Teletoon, Family Channel and AOL Time Warner in the U.S. They say some potential clients equate high-tech production with a high price tag, but a production that would have cost $100,000 just 10 years ago might cost only $20,000 today. "In terms of quality, there's no reason why a locally produced ad can't look like a national ad," Burgess says. If there's one element that's central to the company's work, it's the art of storytelling. When they sit down with a new client, the first question they ask is "What's the story?" They say every company has a story to tell, and they want to find the one that resonates with the audience their clients want to reach. "We just love to tell stories that make people feel something about a brand," Duguay says. "Storytelling is also a great way to communicate and educate at the same time." Developing the story and finding the best ways to share it are the next steps. >> STONEWALL & DISTRICT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WINNIPEG CHAMBER OF COMMERCE NEW & NOTEWORTHY >> The Manitoba Business Awards and Lieutenant Governor's Awards will be presented Oct. 18, 6 p.m., at the Fairmont Hotel in Winnipeg.
