ENGAGING ABORIGINAL/FIRST NATIONS YOUTH AND COMMUNITIES At Aecon, our Aboriginal/First Nations engagement program supports the development and participation of qualified Aboriginal/First Nations groups in the regions where we work. Successful joint ventures have involved not only the hiring of local Aboriginal/First Nations workers and services, but also the sharing of commercial benefits with these communities. Of particular interest to Aecon is the involvement of qualified Aboriginal/First Nations youth in our project work. We support many established programs across the country, like Ontario's Grand River Employment and Training (GREAT) program, where Six Nations backhoe operators Josh Martin and Jordan Wright came to understand firsthand the priority Aecon places on our industry-leading safety program and quality work. "We would definitely recommend Aecon to other youths in our community!"
